What does 1400 GSM mean?
GSM (grams per square meter) is the density of the microfiber pile. 1400 GSM is a plush, premium-weight drying towel that holds significantly more water per pass than typical 300–500 GSM detailing towels. Denser = fewer passes, faster drying, less risk of dragging trapped grit across your paint.
Is it really safe on PPF and ceramic coatings?
Yes — the twisted-loop construction and gold microfiber bound edge (no plastic ribbon binding, no hard hems or tags) are designed to be gentle on paint protection film and fresh ceramic coatings.
Caveats that matter: like any drying towel, performance depends on technique and care. Pre-rinse the towel before first use to remove any loose fibers from manufacturing. Always wash the car first — never drag a dry towel across a dirty panel. We do not warrant against scratches caused by trapped grit, abrasive chemicals, or improper use.
What size is it?
24 inches × 36 inches. Large enough to dry a hood or roof in two passes — not the dinky 16×16 cloths sold as drying towels.
What's the towel made of?
80% polyester / 20% polyamide microfiber blend. The industry standard for premium detailing towels — soft like cotton, durable like poly. The gold bound edge is microfiber too — no synthetic ribbon binding.
How do I wash it?
See the full wash care guide. Short version: separate from cotton, detailer-safe detergent only, no fabric softener, no bleach, tumble low or air dry, no dryer sheets.
Will it shed or fade?
Built not to. Twisted-loop construction locks fibers in so they don't come loose, and colorfast dyes keep the towel deep black through hundreds of wash cycles. If yours sheds, fades, or fails within 30 days, see the guarantee.
